What’s better than finally getting to see one of your most anticipated YA adaptations of the year? Seeing it with a group of people who are just as excited as you are! And that’s what we’re here for. The YA Room: providing shoulders to cry on over fictional crushes since ’17.
We’ve been dying to watch everyone’s much-awaited adaptation of Jenny Han’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, so we thought we’d celebrate its release by doing something extraordinary. Skip the whole “small screen” business of watching it all alone at home and come along to The YA Room’s YA Movie Night bonanza! Mark Saturday 18th August in your calendars, because this is an event you won’t want to miss.
Here are just some of the things you can expect from our YA Movie Night…
- CUPCAKES. AND LOTS OF THEM. We all know our fave Lara Jean loves baking – and so do we! This time, we’ve decided to add a little DIY twist and give you the chance to decorate them yourself!
- A COMPETITION! Remember those cupcakes we mentioned? Well, we’re going to be judging your decorating skills and giving you the chance to win a $10 online book voucher for the most creative / aesthetically pleasing cupcake! Just share a picture of yours at the screening with #YAMovieNight for the chance to win.
- LOVE LETTERS TO YOUR FICTIONAL CRUSHES. In true Lara Jean fashion, we’re going to be confessing our bookish crushes and putting our answers down on paper. Heart-eyes all ’round!
- THE SCREENING. Sorry, we wrote that wrong. We meant screaming, because that’s what we’re going to be doing a lot of. That, plus crying. And fangirling. And drowning our emotions in cupcakes and cookies, because that’s the healthy thing to do, right?
Come along to our viewing party of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before on Saturday 18th August from 6.30pm!
